Remembering a Fashion-Extraordinaire

I will never forget how I felt when I first gazed upon an Alexander McQueen original. Stunned, and inspired. I've literally been sent into a state of shock and semi-depression at the news of his passing. Mostly, I'm thinking "WTF." how could a visionary with so much more ahead of him die so quickly on us?! I think I speak for the entire fashion community or those like me, who wish to enter it, that Alexander McQueen will be truly missed and will remain an inspiration and legend forever.

Catching up... I feel terrible because I'm sooooo behind with my posting, but I've been taking tons of pictures lately. Anyways. I've been on a Gaga fix lately. I just have a feeling that people think shes overrated, and people think she's weird. But I think she is a figure that the fashion community could and will learn to revere. I personally think she is a genius when it comes to what she does, and what she stands for. I strongly believe in being true to yourself, and doing and wearing what makes you happy, which is something I think the fashion community could definitely relate to. So those white boots, are some of my favorites. I think I mentioned on here that they only cost me like 5 bucks! Like the best five bucks I've ever spent. I recently got some pink and orange ones at WalMart, that shall be on here tomorrow.

Hate is such a strong word..

Today, while paying a visit to my favorite blogs, I stopped at Style Rookie. Her latest post was about an article written by Tanya Gold about why she hates fashion. And to be honest with you, I couldn't have said it any better than Tavi.

This woman hates fashion for reasons directly related to adolescence and the pressures of growing up, not the pressures of fashion, because true fashion reminds us to be who we want to be. I'm all for open-mindedness and freedom of speech or whatever, but while reading this article I could only think about how it was bull.

So please, read this article, and tell me your thoughts! :]
